Bethany’s Outreach and Fellowship Ministry

To answer God’s call to share the love of Jesus in fun ways that feed the members of our congregation and the Evansville Community, Bethany Christian Church conducts a wide variety of events during the year. One of the most recent additions to our Outreach and Fellowship Ministry is our blossoming mental wellness ministry. The 2026 calendar includes weekly Tai Chi classes (during the academic year), and Art Journeys sessions; monthly board game night and Keenagers (see below); twice annual pizza parties for children of the Boys & Girls Club; Easter Egg Hunt; River City Pride Fest; Summer Block Party; Walther’s Golf & Fun outing; National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk; West Side Nut Club Fall Festival; Trunk or Treat; and MORE!

While the Keenagers started as a fellowship group for retired people, it has expanded to include people of all ages, especially during the summer when children are out of school. Adults take turns supplying the main dish while others bring side dishes and desserts. After the meal, we do activities ranging from playing family-friendly games to working on service projects.
